Estacado Federal Credit Union History
On January 13, 1953, a small group of people from the
Hobbs Municipal Schools joined together to establish a
credit union to offer its members an opportunity to
accumulate their savings and create a source of credit.
Since 1953, the credit union has experienced changes such
as growth, new products & services, and technological
improvements. In 1996, Conoco FCU in Hobbs and Hobbs
Employees FCU joined to further expand our eligible
membership.
We changed our name in 2001 to Lea Community Federal
Credit Union (FCU) to serve all members who live, work,
worship, or attend school in Lea County as well as family
of existing members.
Lea Community FCU and Estacado Credit Union from Lovington
merged in 2014 to become Estacado Federal Credit Union
(EFCU). We opened our Denver City, Texas branch in 2019
and Eunice, New Mexico branch in 2022.
EFCU has expanded to a full service financial institution
offering electronic services such as Online & Mobile
Banking, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), e-Statements, Bill
Pay and Account Transfers to serve our members 24 hours a
day.
As a not-for-profit, community-based financial
institution, our goal is to continually offer superior
rates and excellent member service. Visit one of our
locations to open your account. When you join Estacado
FCU, you become a member of our family and support your
local community.
